“SARTORIAL OBSESSION VESTIMENTAIRE.” Album of the Best Qualifying Works by Students of the Department of Fabric and Clothing Design of KSADA

Abstract

The presented photographs showcase the creative achievements of students from the Department of Fabric and Clothing Design within the educational programmes “Clothing (Footwear) Design” and “Conceptual Design in the Fashion Industry”, covering the period from 2014 to 2025. They reflect not only the experimental clothing models created in students’ collections but also the imaginative approaches to presenting these works through professional photo sessions. As an essential component of each qualifying project, photo and video shoots convey the artistic and visual qualities of the costume. For this purpose, students thoughtfully select female models, hairstyles, makeup, poses, movements, shooting locations (studio or outdoor), and lighting solutions. These images accompany the graphic and exhibition components of diploma projects, serving as a key part of their defence. Functioning as complete design products in their own right, the photographs of bachelor’s, specialist’s, and master’s works enrich students’ portfolios and support their professional development and future employment.
