About the Journal
HUDPROM: The Ukrainian Art and Design Journal ISSN 2786-7285 (online) is an academic publication devoted to current issues in art history. The journal publishes scholarly research on history, theory, and interdisciplinary discourse in fine arts and contemporary design, as well as academic reviews of monographs, exhibition catalogues, and educational materials. The journal invites academic scholars, degree seekers, and researchers in visual culture, fine arts, and design.
Journal History
The journal was founded in 1999. Founder: Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Until 2023 it was published under the title “Bulletin of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts” (archive: 2002–2010; 2011–2022). Since 2023 the journal has been published as an electronic open-access scientific journal under the title “HUDPROM: Ukrainian Journal of Art and Design”.
The journal has been included in the List of Professional Scientific Publications of Ukraine (Category B) since April 15, 2021 (specialties: 022 – Design; 023 – Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration). In 2023, the journal was transferred from the list of printed professional publications to the list of electronic professional publications in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated April 27, 2023 No. 491.
Periodicity
The journal is published twice a year — in June and December.
